Get Out and Workout

As the city of Chicago begins to thaw, the Lake Shore Drive running path is beginning to resemble  something along the lines of The Running of The Bulls paired with the Tour de France. I am even personally guilty of shoving my way through the congested North Ave. beach area, while trying not to get run over by a speeding cyclist---sometimes you just need to run like Phoebe from the show 'Friends' and create a nice safe zone around yourself. :)

I found this awesome article on cnn.com, and I thought I would share it with everyone! Hopefully this, along with our 70+ degree days, will encourage you to get out and enjoy the weather and this beautiful city! There is so much to see and do---take a walk, rent a Divvy bike, rollerblade along the lake, or even play a pickup game of soccer or basketball- the possibilities are endless!

Women and Stress

This is such an interesting read! It is amazing how something as small as wondering when I will have time to get to the gym, grocery store, or even grab dinner with a friend can cause such stress on a person's life.
Glad I am not alone in this, but I just need to remember that everything will workout, and stressing does not change circumstances or their outcomes.

2014 Boston Marathon


So inspiring! I have completed numerous 1/2 marathons in the past, but this certain race definitely inspires me to lace up my Nikes and compete in a full! 


Congratulations to all those who participated in this year's Boston Marathon, and may we always remember the tragedy that struck last year. Always in our hearts... #BostonStrong
